Ladies Joint Forum (LJF)

Empowering Women and Girls in Tanzania

Ladies Joint Forum is a dynamic non-governmental organization based in Tanzania. Established in 2016 and officially registered in 2019, LJF is committed to empowering women and girls from local communities. Our mission is to ensure their right to education, nurture professional growth, and unlock their full potential for economic independence, thereby fostering gender equality.

Eliminate violence and harmful practices that impede women's access to economic resources.
Promote informed decisions regarding sexual relationships, contraceptive use, and healthcare
Break down gender barriers that hinder women's ability to adapt to the impacts of climate change. Some of these barriers include limited decision-making power at the household level, a lack of access to technology and capacity-building resources, restrictions on land ownership, and a disproportionate burden of unpaid work and caregiving responsibilities within the community compared to men.

Our efforts are directed towards raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within local communities, with a particular focus on Goals 1, 5, 8, and 13. These goals align directly with our vision, mission, and initiatives.
